"LIDAGROPROMMASH" was founded in 1958 as auto-repair plant. Repair of trucks model GAZ-51 (Gorky Automobile Plant) and engines for them was the initial kind of activity of the enterprise. From year to year new types of production were mastering on the plant, as well as volumes of production were building up. In 1970 the plant switched over to capitalized repairs of motor vehicles ZIL-130, ZIL-MMZ-555 (Likhatchov automobile plant, Moscow) and units for them.

At the beginning of the 90'th in accordance with the growing requirements of the intensive technologies for crop cultivation, sowing and harvesting "Lidagroprommash" management take a decision to reverse the type of production from auto-repair plant to the enterprise engaged in production of agricultural machines only.

Within the short period of time production of the main type of products universal, pneumatic sowing-machines, type SPU was put on conveyor. From year to year aiming to the modern technological characteristics and quality of the products "Lidagroprommash" has been building up the volumes of the production of sowing-machines, type SPU. It made possible to satisfy the customer demands not only in the Rupublic of Belarus, but also from abroad. As result of transformation of the Republic of Belarus into independent state the growing shortage of harvesting machinery became obvious. So the decision was taken to organize the production of combine harvester at the "Lidagroprommash" firm.

So within the short period of time "Lidagroprommash" joined the list of the major suppliers of agricultural machinery in CIS countries. It developed from the production of simple hillers and cultivators to modern sowing and harvesting machinery of high quality.
